The Shell II voicing of F#m(maj7) stacks E#, A and C# from the bottom up: the major 7th, minor 3rd and 5th of the chord. It leaves out the root, F#, for the left hand or the bass player to take.
It's one of the Rootless 3-Note Shells voicings: three-note rootless voicings: the 3rd and 7th with one more tone, played over the root. The other for F#m(maj7) is Shell I.
