The major scale and its modes are the most commonly used scales in western music.
Its modes play the same notes from another degree: G# Dorian from the 2nd, A# Phrygian from the 3rd, B Lydian from the 4th, C# Mixolydian from the 5th, D# Aeolian from the 6th and E# Locrian from the 7th.
